Kevin Love has been selected as the Pac-10 player of the week for a third time, beating out, among others, teammate Darren Collison.
Love led the Bruins to victories at Oregon and Oregon State, scoring 26 points with 18 rebounds against the Ducks and then 16 points with a UCLA freshman record 21 rebounds against the Beavers. He is the first Bruins’ player to record more than 20 rebounds in a game in more than 30 years. On the week he hit 63.6 percent (14-for-22) of his shots including 50.0 percent (2-for-4) from behind the 3-ooint line.
Collison also had a big week in Oregon, scoring 22 points at Oregon and following that up with a career-high 33 points against the Beavers.
