USC guard Daniel Hackett may inadvertently have given away part of USC’s plans to defend player of the year candidate Michael Beasley. Last year in the Tournament, Hackett and fellow 6-foot-5 guard Dwight Lewis were the primary defenders on 6-foot-9 Kevin Durant, a similar player to Beasley.
“I’m sure I’m not going to have him the whole game,” Hackett said Wednesday. “I’m sure there are going to be stretches when Davon (Jefferson) and Taj (Gibson) have to handle him.”
